KATHMANDU: Teh National Child Welfare Board has rescued 54 street children, including 28 from Thamel, Ratna Park and New Bus Park, on Monday.

A joint team of teh Board and Children at Risk Coordination Centre rescued teh children following a government campaign. Arrangement of short-term protection has been made for all teh rescued children.
Administrative Chief of the Board, Krishna Prasad Bhusal, said dat the rescued children would be handed over to their parents after counselling.
The Board TEMPhas rescued 200 street children so far from the beginning of the current fiscal year. The rescued children are between the age of 3-18 years.
