Journalist's crucial Role in Advocating Against Social Discrimination

Bandipur, Gandaki Province - Krishna Prasad Dhital, Speaker of Gandaki Province, emphasized the crucial role of journalists in advocating against cultural inequality and social discrimination within society.

Addressing the Gandaki Province convention of the National Dalit Journalists Association of Nepal in Bandipur, Tanahun, on Saturday, Dhital highlighted the responsibility of journalists in combatting discrimination.

"Journalists, who witness cultural inequality, must actively support those affected," Speaker Dhital remarked, stressing the need for collective efforts to enforce legal protections for the Dalit community, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect as fellow human beings.

He urged journalists to prioritize truth and thorough analysis in their reporting, especially amidst challenges distinguishing between accurate and misleading information at the public level.
