KATHMANDU: The annual general assembly of Nepal Voters’ Right Forum has unanimously elected advocate and rights activist Bhakta Bishwokarma as its new chairperson. 

The assembly also elected its new executive committee led by Bishwokarma.  

According to newly elected executive member Biru Nepali, the assembly has elected Nirmala Sharma Dhungana as vice-chair, Shanti Bhandari as general secretary, Krishna Prasad Shah as secretary and Nanda Kumari Sarai as treasurer. New executive members are Sima Khan, Mina Poudel, Sushil BK, Shanta Neupane, Kalika Khadka, Khimananda Devkota, Pawan Gautam besides Nepali. 

One of the two vacant positions of the executive members of the 15-member executive committee will be selected from sexual and gender minority group and the other from the open category. 

The committee will function for the next three years.
